Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne of Revival Ministries International, was invited to do an 18 night Great Awakening Tour in East London, South Africa. 
South Africa is the land of his birth and although his ministry is based in the USA for the past 21 years, he has from time to time conducted meetings in South Africa.

Nightly, crowds have attended these powerful meetings to receive a touch from heaven. 

Each night directly after the preaching, Pastor Rodney has given an invitation to everyone to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and people streamed to the altar to pray the prayer of salvation.

It's difficult finding a hotel room or getting a flight to East London these days due to one factor, revival has hit the City of East London and surrounding cities. 

But not only East London, but across the nation via Television and the Internet and across the ocean into Europe, North and South America.

Altar Call, youth night Friday July 10th. 2009

The photo opposite shows a crowd of about 150 who gave their lives to Christ.

Teams have gone out daily on the streets and into businesses to tell people about Jesus.  

Using the English script that is used in the USA, but also translated into various South African languages, many have prayed the prayer of salvation.  

The meetings have been broadcast nightly via the Internet and via Television across Africa and the world. Hundreds of testimonies have come in from all over of salvation, healing and soul winning.

Friday Night Youth Service
God moved mightily in the Friday night youth service.  Pastor Rodney preached on the five wise and five foolish virgins. 

At the end of the message he gave an altar call for people who have never received Jesus as Lord and Savior and also for people who had backslidden. 

Hundreds streamed forward to surrender their lives to God. 

Pastor Rodney challenged the people to volunteer for the Saturday harvest. About 120 responded as can be seen from the photo on the right.

During the three weeks of the Great Awakening Tour, there have been over 1400 harvesters and a total of 21,000 decisions for Christ.
